HubSpot Credits are the new way to access and scale AI-powered tools by Breeze, like Customer Agent and Data Agent.
HubSpot Credits now apply to more AI, automation and data features across the Customer Platform. This simple guide has been refreshed to explain what users need to know about credits, monthly limits, AI usage, pricing and usage management.
This guide explains HubSpot Credits in simple terms, so users and admins can understand what credits are, where they are used, and when usage should be reviewed before scaling AI-powered features across the portal.
What Are HubSpot Credits?
HubSpot Credits are a shared monthly allowance used by selected tools in HubSpot. They help measure usage for AI-powered, automation-driven and data-heavy features.
Think of credits like a usage budget. Every month, your account receives a set number of included credits based on your subscription. When certain features run, they use part of that monthly allowance.
Credits are:
-
Included in most HubSpot subscriptions (Starter and above)
-
Reset monthly
-
Used across eligible features such as Customer Agent and data enrichment
-
Scalable – you can purchase more as your business grows
This makes HubSpot Credits a transparent way to adopt AI features and scale them over time without overcommitting.
Included Credits by Subscription Tier
Each HubSpot subscription includes a monthly allocation of Credits. The number you receive depends on the highest-tier product edition in your portal:
| Product Tier | Smart CRM, Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, Service Hub or Content Hub | Data Hub or Customer Platform |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | 500/month | 500/month |
| Professional | 3,000/month | 5,000/month |
| Enterprise | 5,000/month | 10,000/month |
If your account includes more than one Hub, you’ll receive the Credit amount for the highest plan. For example, a combination of Marketing Hub Professional and Sales Hub Enterprise would qualify for the 5,000 Enterprise Credits. Credits do not roll over. Any unused balance expires at the end of each billing cycle.
What Has Changed?
HubSpot Credits now apply to a wider group of AI, automation and data features. They are no longer only relevant to a small set of AI tools.

How Are Credits Used?
Credits are used when selected HubSpot features perform an AI, automation or data action.
| Feature | Example Action | Credits Used |
|---|---|---|
|
Customer Agent |
Resolves one text-based customer conversation | 50 |
|
Prospecting Agent |
Recommends outreach for one lead | 100 |
|
Data Agent |
Generates a response to one prompt for one record | 10 |
|
Data Agent / Workflow Actions |
Executes one custom prompt action in a workflow | 10 |
|
Buyer Intent |
Creates and/or monitors one company for one month using intent signals | 10 |
|
Data Studio |
Uses a dataset in a workflow, segment, CRM sync or export | 25-200 |
For full detail including credit usage per action and feature categories, see our Credit rate sheet deep-dive guide.
The most important thing to understand is volume. A single AI action may use a small number of credits, but usage can increase quickly if that action runs across many records, conversations, companies or workflow enrolments.
What If You Need More Credits?
If your team uses more than the included monthly allowance, there are two main ways to add credits.
| Option | Best for | Current Pricing |
| Capacity Packs | Predictable, ongoing usage | $10 USD per additional 1,000 credits/month |
| Pay-as-you-go | Temporary or variable usage | $0.010 per credit, invoiced in increments of 10 credits |
Capacity packs increase your account’s monthly credit limit for the remainder of your commitment term.
Pay-as-you-go is more flexible for temporary usage because the account returns to its original monthly limit on the next reset date.
Admins can also set a maximum monthly credit limit to help control usage.
Getting Started
HubSpot Credits are part of a broader shift toward value-based pricing, where customers are charged based on usage and outcomes rather than flat fees or user count alone. This helps you:
-
Test and deploy AI features with minimal risk
-
Control spend and avoid surprise charges
-
Align cost with real business value
It also reflects HubSpot’s commitment to making advanced automation and intelligence accessible across Hubs—including Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Operations.
If you’re new to these tools, we recommend starting with Customer Agent, which offers immediate impact and easy setup.
You can monitor your usage in the Account & Billing section of your portal, where you’ll find:
-
Your current Credit balance
-
Credit usage reports
-
Options for purchasing more capacity
Before using AI-powered features at scale, ask:
- Is this a one-off action or something that will run repeatedly?
- Will this affect one record, a list of records or an entire workflow?
- Is the feature being tested or rolled out to the wider team?
- Could the same result be achieved with a standard HubSpot feature?
- Should an admin review the setup before more users start using it?
If you’re not sure how to activate or scale your AI usage, we’re happy to help. Our team can guide you through the best way to adopt AI features based on your current subscription, use case, and team needs.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do HubSpot Credits roll over?
No. Credits reset monthly, and unused credits do not roll over.

Do I get more credits if I have multiple HubSpot products?
Not by adding every product together. The account receives the highest applicable allowance based on the highest eligible subscription tier.

Customer Agent currently uses 50 credits to resolve one text-based conversation.
How much does Prospecting Agent use?
Prospecting Agent currently uses 100 credits to recommend outreach for one lead.
